Minnesota Releases New Minimum Wage Rates for 2025 (09/03/2024)

In August, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry announced the statewide minimum wage will increase to $11.13 per hour on January 1, 2025.

Earlier this year, Gov. Walz signed a law eliminating lower minimum wage rates for younger workers, J-1 visa holders, and small businesses (which was $8.85/hour in 2024). Those wage rates will no longer be available after December 31, 2024.
